Following a fortuitous connection to an innovation leader, Dr. Rokon Zaman (@zamanrokon), in Bangladesh, we’ve embarked on a project to research the techniques for innovation there. If Dr. Zaman’s efforts are any indication, we anticipate learning a LOT about how they are addressing the challenges of workforce development and economic growth as robotics and other forms of automation continue to progress in the developed world.
We already know there is a vibrant innovation culture in Bangladesh and some very forward thinking leaders building long term technology strategies that are the envy of ANY nation.
Our first project together is to survey the general population on their perspectives and specific examples of innovative companies, business areas, use of resources, and the like. We’re also studying individual perspectives on how innovation is practiced in Bangladesh. You can view the survey at our joint website, and we hope to share results in the coming months on our research.
If you know folks in Bangladesh or other South Asian or Southeast Asian nations who are developing their innovation economy, please share this post with them. We’d appreciate it.
